It is governed by the Auburn University Board of Trustees, and is a branch campus of Auburn University. It was established by an act of the Alabama Legislature in 1967. AUM offers programs of study leading to bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees in business, education, liberal artsnursing, and sciences. The university enrolls more than 5,500 students, with an additional 10,000 enrolled in continuing education programs. In January 2007, the university moved toward branding itself as Auburn Montgomery.

SACS Accreditation: Auburn University at Montgomery is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate, masters, educational specialist and doctoral degrees.

College of Business

·       The College of Business is accredited by the AACSB International, the nation's oldest and most prestigious business school accrediting organization. Of the more than 1,400 business programs in the nation, only 418 are AACSB accredited.
College of Education

·       Accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE),
·       Accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and
·       All its programs are approved by the Alabama Department of Education.
College of Nursing and Health Sciences

·       The Auburn Montgomery School of Nursing’s four-year baccalaureate program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education through December 31, 2022 and is approved by the Alabama Board of Nursing.

¤ Admission Requirements

    A completed AUM online application; no application fee.
    Your official high school transcript (which should be mailed or e-mailed 
      directly to AUM from your high school) and official English translation if your
      transcript is not in English.
∞     Proof of English proficiency (unless you are exempt). You can take the
     TOEFL IBT (minimum 61 points), the IELTS (
minimum 5.5 points), or
      the TOEFL PBT (minimum 500 points).

    Proof of sufficient financial resources (Bank statement and/or letter
       from your sponsor in English). The bank statement should show at 
      least $26, 522.00 available

¤ Application Deadlines
∞    AUM accepts students throughout the year.
∞   If you want to start at AUM in fall semester, please apply by July 15.
∞   If you want to start at AUM in spring semester, please apply by November 15.
   If you want to start at AUM in summer semester, please apply by April 15.

5.  If you are accepted, AUM sends you an acceptance letter and an I-20 Certificate.

      War hawk International Student Scholarship
War hawk International Student Scholarship is for incoming and current international students who pay full out-of-state tuition.  It is based on academic merit, and it applies to tuition only and ranges from $2,000 to $4,000 per year. 

                                                              
 Minimum Requirement 
Value:
$2,000 a year ($1,000 for each semester of fall and spring semesters)

Minimum requirements to receive scholarship up to $2, 000 per year:
     
   ¤     Freshman: High school grade- point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale or
              one of the following language test scores:
                      
   68 or higher on TOEFL LBT,
                 
       ∞   520 or higher on TOEFL ITP OR PBT,
                   
    ∞   6.0 on IELTS
     
  ¤     Transfer students:     Grade-point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale
 
      ¤     Exchange students:  Grade-point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale

Graduate Student Admissions Requirement


¤ Admission Requirements

    Official transcript from each university you've attended (mailed or e-mailed directly
       to AUM by each institution) and official English translation(s) if your transcript is
       not in English.
∞     Proof of English proficiency (unless you are exempt). You can take the
     TOEFL IBT (minimum 61 points), the IELTS (

     the TOEFL PBT (minimum 500 points) 
   Satisfactory results on one of the graduate entrance examinations.
     The College of Business requires a score of 400 on the General Management
     Aptitude Test (GMAT). The Schools of Education, Liberal Arts,
     and Sciences require either the general section of the Graduate Records
     Examination (GRE) or the Miller Analogies Test (MAT).  All scores must
     be sent directly from the testing agency.        
   Proof of sufficient financial resources (Bank statement and/or letter
     from your sponsor in English). The bank statement should show at
     least $26, 522.00 available. 
   Certain graduate programs may require additional items not listed here;
     upon applying to such programs applicants will be contacted for such
     items.
